Medisas is a privately-held company based in San Francisco and works with hospitals across the United States.
We are a deeply passionate team with a single mission: to use software to improve patient care.
Dr. Gautam Sivakumar is frustrated by the lack of great software to help him keep his patients safe. From a bedroom in northern England, he starts with a belief that software will be the greatest catalyst in advancing healthcare in this century. He builds the first version of Medisas – a simple workflow and collaboration tool that helps to improve handoffs among doctors.
Medisas releases its first prototype focused on improving handoffs and rounds. The company is accepted into the highly competitive Y Combinator program in Mountain View.
Medisas moves to San Francisco and raises a seed round of financing, led by Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, FundersClub, Y Combinator, and several prominent angel investors. We go live in our first hospital.
Medisas impacts more than 175,000 patient lives through our product.
Medisas raises additional capital, led by Khosla Ventures, and impacts more than 400,000 patient lives through our platform.
We've doubled in the last year, both in company size and number of hospitals, and only plan on growing faster.
