As a top children’s hospital, the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) is one of only 4% of hospitals in the U.S. that has reached HIMSS Stage 7 in EMR adoption. Similar to other hospitals in the nation, its clinicians still found themselves handwriting notes on outdated printed sign-outs and gathering the team together multiple times a day to run the list and keep everybody on the same page.
